If you want something to change, change something!

If you want something to change, change something. It’s simple, it’s the way it works. Change today.

I hear it all the time ‘something needs to change’, ‘change is needed’ however, we seem to throw these statements out to the world but take no responsibility or accountability for actually doing anything about it. Or worse, we expect everyone else around us to change expecting that once ‘they’ change our loves will be happier. That’s not how it works.

Why should we expect others to change to make our lives better? If you want change, change it! If someone in your life is making you unhappy, change your attachment or reliance on them, remove their energy from your life. I know I make it sound simplistic, and I do understand the intrinsic links we share we family, friends, work colleagues, acquaintances and everything else in between — however, fundamentally if we want something to change, we have to change it!

If you rely on someone else to make you happy, you will never be happy. It’s a cliché of a saying, it is true though ‘Happiness is an inside job’.

Keyboard warriors are the best for this, as an example, slating the politicians and writing all over Facebook how change ‘should’ happen and what ‘needs’ to be done and then stopping at that as they have zero inclination to actually stand up and do anything about it, expecting others to make the change then shouting about it in to the oblivion when nothing happens. If you want something to change, change something!

Now that’s a big example, making change on a political front is huge, I get that, making change in your own life, that’s very achievable and you can change anything, absolutely anything.

Some changes take time, persistence, patience and may require a huge amount of work broken down into small achievable goals and a plan of action. Other changes are simple, instant, gratifying and take little more than a bit of effort and some will power.

Change is good, it’s natural, it’s evolution. We change everyday as everyday we grow a day older, some might say a day wiser — that is if you choose to learn and grow through your life experiences.

The best compliment we can give is to say ‘You’ve changed’ — well thank you, I am glad I have — I am glad I have embraced my life lessons, learnt from those around me and each day grow closer to the person I am destined to be.

So now we are back at the beginning again, gone full circle — ‘If you want something to change, change something!’.
